Since 2012 when the Triumph Tiger 1200 was launched, there has been no significant overhaul. Instead, the bike gets little upgrades every year. Admittedly, there have been brilliant and refreshing tech upgrades. Still, it differs from the ones embedded in this latest model, which you can find in Pitt Cycles Triumph motorcycle dealership located in Warrendale, PA, near New Castle and Pittsburgh. We have the 2023 Triumph Tiger 1200 for sale and a variety of Triumph adventure motorcycle finance specials you are sure to like.
The 2023 triumph Tiger 1200 came with five road-focused models, from the GT Explorer and GT Pro to the GT subset, which also has the standard GT. These models are designed to provide comfort while riding and give the best tarmac performance while delivering the required adventure. Away from the tarmac experience, we have the Rally Explorer and Rally Pro, which are designed for off-road adventure and have longer travel suspension, a 21-inch front wheel, and other features that enable off-road riding. All the GT models are equipped with a 19/18 cast wheel which allows for easy steering due to their smaller weight and size, which the Rally models do not possess.
Unlike the past years, the 2023 Tiger 1200 is completely revamped from top to bottom. This upgrade includes an increase in power, weight reduction, and rideability with dedicated care on performance. To achieve this weight reduction, about 55cc was removed from the previous models making the recent Tiger 1200 engine 1160 cc, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, inline triple with a six-speed transmission. It also uses the Tiger 900 T-plane crank setup. This T-plane crank setup uses an uneven firing configuration to improve performance at low rpm while producing excellent power. At the crank, the latest Tiger 1200 has 148 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and a 96 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm.
The shaft drive of the older model wasn’t overhauled. Nonetheless, it was upgraded to a single shaft retiring the two-piece configuration of the older models. The Showa semi-active and electronically adjustable suspension is also designed to detect jumps and increase damping for a smoother landing. For the front brake, the Tiger 1200 uses the Brembo M4.30 Stylema four-piston calipers, 320 mm discs with ABS. For the Explorer versions, the fuel tank is 7.9 gallons. Other models operate with a 5.3 gallon.
There’s also a series of throttle maps plus adjustable traction control. The bike also has a blind-spot warning system that flashes amber light at the bottom of the corresponding side mirror whenever it senses a vehicle. You can charge your phone to navigate maps with a USB port cleverly designed and placed under the seat. All of these ensure you have the best adventure while using the Triumph adventure motorcycle. To start your adventure, you must visit Pitt Cycles in Warrendale, PA. There will always be a Triumph adventure motorcycle for sale.
